Abstract: Tensors provide a powerful mathematical framework for managing and analyzing large datasets, making tensor data analysis a rapidly growing field in areas such as machine learning, signal processing, computer vision, graph analysis, and data mining. Starting from fundamental concepts in tensor algebra, we explore the key models used to decompose multidimensional arrays also called hypermatrices. Additionally, we examine the principal algorithms for estimating the parameters of these models. Both simulated data and real-world case studies are utilized to demonstrate the potential and applicability of this methodology across various domains.
