CoDa-thesis wins the XXII edition of the ACCID!!

Compositional doctoral thesis wins the XXII edition of the ACCID (Catalan association for accounting and management) prize to the best dissertation.

The award-winning doctoral thesis of Elisabet Saus Sala (University of Girona), supervised by M. Àngels Farreras Noguer, Núria Arimany Serrat and Germà Coenders is entitled “Financial statement analysis with compositional data: The rural tourism industry in Spain before and after COVID-19”. The thesis shows the advantages of the managerial information provided by compositional visualization and classification tools over the problematic current methods of analysing financial ratios.
