• There will be an Ice-breaking party cocktail on Monday, June 1st, at 19:00, just after the Introductory Course, in the Hotel Vila Galé.
• On Tuesday, we propose a Fado Night Dinner at 20:00 in the Fado house A Capella: https://www.centerofportugal.com/entity/acapella. Coimbra fado (Fado de Coimbra) is a unique form of Portuguese fado, closely tied to the university’s academic traditions. It is characterized by its ceremonial, student-centered style and focus on poetic elegance. Often performed at night during serenades and outdoor gatherings, it features a restrained, poetic delivery that highlights lyrics and creates a respectful, intimate atmosphere. The Fado Night is restricted to 50 people.
• On Wednesday afternoon, we will visit the Old Town and the University Library (Biblioteca Joanina) after lunch at the hotel. The Joanina Library contains an unmatched literary collection and showcases the grandeur of early 17th-century architecture and art.
